Working with children has always been a great source of inspiration for me. From tutoring small groups of students learning French to leading a full class through some fun Theater exercises, I have been enjoying working with them for the last 10 years. I am a native French-Canadian and I grew up in the French-speaking city of Montréal. I have graduated from the Arts and Letters program offered at the Theatre School of St-Hyacinthe, in Québec, Canada.

My intention with this French course is to introduce the kids to a new language and make them curious and eager to learn more. I will do that by creating a fun and safe learning environment and by opting for more creative teaching methods such as learning songs, playing games (in French of course!), acting out skits, doing art projects, making a short video, etc.

In addition to learning the language, the students will also learn the history of the language, its origin, how it has evolved through the years, and the different countries where it is spoken.

In order to keep the parents informed of the progress their kids are making, we will, as a class, put on small presentations throughout the year and share what we have learned!

Born and raised in Beautiful Casablanca Morocco, I left my hometown after High School for Paris where I studied Medical School and Psychology, and worked for 12 years. I Have Graduated from

Paris 5 Rene Descartes University in Paris with Masters in Psychology and worked as Psychologist in Paris with special children and in different hospital services. After long years in the medical field, I decided to go back to Morocco where I worked in Education as a school Psychologist, a counselor and as a French Teacher for elementary and high school students. And that is where I discovered my passion for teaching French and working with children. Then I met my husband who was visiting and he made sure to bring me to California where I have been leaving this past year.

Even though I changed my environment I knew that I loved teaching French and that is why I pursued teaching it once I came to live in the USA. I was more than happy when I started giving French classes in EFLA-FLAM. I am myself a French native, have always been French educated and with my previous experience in teaching French, I am looking forward to sharing more about the language but also about French Culture, and the French way of living.

My purpose with these classes is for me to make sure that the Children enjoy learning new things connected to French with a fun method of teaching where the kids can choose their own theme as long as it is linked to French, and French Speaking countries. And also making sure they have the grammar knowledge required if they want to pursue later their studies in France or in the French language.
